Drillface - Kaiju Project

My task was to create an original Kaiju as part of the Pacific Rim universe in my Concept Sketchbook class with Scott Flanders. This creature dwells in the desert and burrows underneath the ground creating a wall of sand when reappearing. The windy, sandy elements reveal the kaiju's bony spinal structure from years of wear and tear of the desert and the battles he encounters
